MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS

MVC Middle School teams compete with other District One schools in the area, giving students the chance to build skills and experience the excitement of team play. Junior High sports are development-focused and differ from high school athletics in the following ways:

Weekly participation is limited to three to four days.
All students may participate, regardless of skill level.
A no-cut policy is followed under normal circumstances.
While playing time is not always equal, coaches strive to provide meaningful experience for all athletes who participate consistently in practices and games.

Purpose
Being a member of an MVC Middle School sports team provides students the opportunity to explore athletics as an area of competitive interest and ability. It allows them to develop foundational skills, grow in sportsmanship, and consider whether they would like to pursue athletics at the high school level.
