High School Social Studies Teacher - Full Time
Mount Vernon Christian School (Mount Vernon, WA) is accepting applications for a full-time High School Social Studies Teacher to join our school's community beginning August 1, 2025. This position would include teaching some combination of courses offered at the high school level based on qualifications and areas of endorsement. Depending on qualifications, some combination of PE/Bible/Social Studies could be taught. Current offerings in the high school Social Studies program include World History, US History, Government, Church History, Ethics, and other electives as needed.

Candidates should have or be able to acquire the appropriate WA State Certification.

Long-Term 7-12th Grade School Counselor Substitute

Mount Vernon Christian School (Mount Vernon, WA) is accepting applications for a part-time or full-time 7-12th grade School Counselor long-term sub, beginning August 1, 2025. 

The School Counselor assists the Director of MS/HS with student matters, programs, and policies, works with the faculty, students, and families on course scheduling, and assists students in the post-high school planning process. 

This is a long-term sub position expected to begin August 1, 2025, and to be completed at the end of January 2026.

Candidates should have an M.Ed. in School Counseling, Social Work, or similar. WA State (Teaching or Counseling?) Certification preferred.

7-12th Grade Drama Director

Mount Vernon Christian School is searching for a Drama Director to direct the Fall Play and be the Stage Director of the Spring Musical.

Responsibilities include:

• Selecting the Fall Play (with Approval process)

• Leading Auditions, Implementing Rehearsal Schedule

• Collaborating with a Design Team

Fall Play runs from September through November.

Musical Auditions take place in December with rehearsals from January through March. 

This is a Stipend Position, paid after each production is completed.
