Student Life

Student Prayer Group – a student led group that meets informally every Monday to pray for the needs of the student body. The prayer group also organizes and oversees the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes in the fall.

Senior retreat – usually a 2 day, 1 night yearly activity for the senior class. The class goes to a camp setting and engage in various activities that build class unity. These activities include worship times led by a special speaker. The goals of the retreat are growing spiritually as a class and as an individual. Strengthening leadership abilities to build a strong school community is an important part of the retreat as well.

Class officers – participate in Student Council, play key roles in organizing class activities, provide leadership in organizing Homecoming/Spirit Week, Junior-Senior Banquet, planning for senior retreat, spring trip and graduation, etc.

Each class has their own class officers and teacher advisor. The class president, vice president, and secretary/treasurer serve their own class by planning their activities. However, the class also elects one Class Representative who serves with the Student Council. These four Class Representatives, the four Class Presidents, and the ASB President form the ASB Student Council.

Student Council–These students plan such events as the Fall Retreat, the Winter Banquet, and Homecoming (or Spirit) Week. Also, this group often plans other monthly activities for the student body including movies nights, trips to Mariner’s games, lock-ins, etc.
