Congratulation to our 8th grade class and our seniors!

Ms. Hansen has faithfully served at MVC for 20 years. Her contributions to the English and Drama departments will be dearly missed. Enjoy your retirement Carol!

Congratulations Class of 2024!

Senior Graduation

Mrs. McCullough didn't let a little rain ruin Field Day! Most of our activities had to be moved inside but our elementary kids still had a blast! Thank you to our amazing PE teacher for organizing such a fun way to end our school year.

No sun? No problem! Ms. Hooyer improvised her Solar Pizza Oven Project to include heat lamps in lieu of the sun. Hard to believe these 8th graders will soon be promoted to 9th grade!

The culmination of market projects found many MVC FFA students in the winner's circle at the Puget Sound Junior Livestock Show. ALL exhibitors received blue ribbons in showmanship and type! Congratulations!

Juniors at MVC have a class project in Ms. Hansen's class called Shalom. The goal is to partner with a charity and then raise money to donate. Charities that our students supported this year include:
Water for Sudan , Called to Peace Ministries (through Citipoint Church), Melodic Caring Project, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Lighthouse Mission Ministries, Skagit Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services, On the Ground International, Secret Harbor, New Earth Recovery, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Disabled American Veterans, One Community One Family, World Vision
Since starting this project in 2016, juniors at MVC have raised over $86,000.

Today at our Secondary Chapel we celebrated our Seniors. The Senior class led worship, shared words of advice to the underclassmen, and received some well-earned awards. It's hard to believe that they graduate a week from today. We love our Seniors!

Class of 24 Graduation

This year our middle school students were divided into four houses, competing against each other for points. Points could be earned through acts of service, winning a game, doing something kind for a friend, any effort going above and beyond. Our winning house this year, Padilla Bay, earned a trip to Summit Adventure Park!

We are celebrating our Spring Sports!
Baseball: Advanced to quarter-finals of state
Golf: Six athletes advanced to state, four athletes finished in the top 30
Track: Ladies track finished 2nd in state overall, and Boys finished 3rd. Several athletes took state titles in their events.
Way to go MVC Canes!
