Middle School Sports This Week

Congratulations Fall Athletes & Teams!

Today is Mrs. Larsen's last day before she starts her maternity leave. Her fourth graders showered her with gifts and got to have a pajama party to celebrate.

Reminder!

Today we sent off our Volleyball team to the 1B State Tournament at the Sundome. They kick off the tournament playing Pope John Paul II tomorrow at 8 AM. All games will be live-streamed through NFHS. Go Canes!!

Here is the sports update for the week. Please visit the WIAA website for more possible games.

Don't forget to turn back the clocks tomorrow!

This morning we covered our Cross Country team with prayers and sent them off to state. They will travel to the Tri Cities to compete. Run fast and have fun!

Our FFA Trap Shooting team competed in the District competition last week. Lucas Bieghler came in 1st overall and Ella Lervick snagged 2nd place. Trap Shooting uses trap ammunition to connect with a clay moving target. This sport requires hand-eye coordination, the ability to track a moving target and knowledge of gun safety.

No School!

Our Elementary Science teacher, Mrs. Brunk had her 2nd-grades build prototypes of bird feeders based on where a bird would perch. Is the bird a tray feeder, a peg, or a hanging feeder? All of these factors went into their designs.

Middle School Western Day
Middle Schoolers have been divided into houses to create comradery. Each house earns points for good deeds or going the extra mile. For Western Day, anyone who dressed up was awarded points for their House.
