Each day Ms. Myhre’s class works hard to earn marbles for their good behavior. When the jar is full, students get to vote on the party. In late February, the students earned their “Marble Party” and chose a movie, wearing pajamas, and bringing a stuffed animal to school!

🎶 Huge congratulations to Jens Otterness! In September, he submitted an audition recording and was selected to play in the All Northwest Orchestra—a prestigious 200-piece ensemble made up of the top musicians from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. After just two days of intense rehearsals, they delivered a stellar performance at the National Association for Music Education NW Division Conference in Spokane this February.👏🎼

The 8th graders toured the State Capitol building yesterday and learned about where state legislation takes place. They visited both the House and Senate floors, the Governor’s wing, and the State Supreme Court building. Students had the opportunity to participate in a Supreme Court simulation, taking on roles in a real court case. They also heard from State Senator Ron Muzzall (10th District) and were able to ask questions about various laws and policies he has supported. Overall, it was a great day of learning about Washington State’s government system!

Our fourth-grade classes have been busy transforming into young inventors! Last week, they had their first Marketplace experience—an exciting event where they showcased and sold their inventions while also getting the chance to purchase creations made by their fellow inventors. It was a fun and inspiring day of creativity, entrepreneurship, and hands-on learning
